caffeinatedcorvids:extremelysexyclowns: ✨✨EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION✨✨(or at least, how I experience it)when your brain is a car that won’t start, it’s pretty annoying. Now I’m terribly invested in what the last panel said. Yet somehow, that too is how executive dysfunction feels. I’m currently trying to figure out why the last panel’s been flagged - I’m not sure why, could just be an ✨annoying tumblr thing✨. In the meantime, people have rightfully pointed out that this post has no ID, so I figured I’d hit two birds with one stone so everyone can see the original content of the post![ID: a 10-panel comic. Each has an illustration which is accompanied by narrative text. The first panel says: ‘Imagine you’re going on a journey.’ A cartoon figure can be seen walking towards a car.The second panel says: 'You’ve packed everything you need.’ Here the cartoon figure is stood in front of a pile of luggage. The third panel says: 'And you know exactly where you’re going, and how important it is that you get there.’ A map is visible, and the character has carefully illustrated their route, emphasising their destination with arrows and annotating it with 'important’ and exclamation marks. The fourth panel says: 'So you get up early and bright, 100% convinced that today is the day! You are leaving!!!’ The character is stood with a suitcase, the sun shining down on them. They are looking optimistically forward. The fifth panel says: 'Except - your car wont start.’ The character is sat in their car, trying to turn the ignition on with a frown on their face. The sixth panel says: 'You try everything you can - you try and restart the car, you check if anything’s wrong, you shout and kick the car.’ The character can be seen with an angry expression kicking the front of the car.The seventh panel says: 'Other people come to help. “Are you sure it’s the car?” They ask. “It sounds like you just want an excuse not to go on your journey.”’ The character is talking with another person, who has a sceptical look on their face. The character looks annoyed. The eighth panel says: 'In the end, you blame yourself. “Maybe I really don’t want to go after all?” The character looks sad, and is leaning their head on their hand. The ninth panel says: 'Eventually, finally, the car starts. Maybe, you make it in time, or maybe you’re late. It doesn’t matter. “What took you so long?” People ask. “Whilst you were wasting time, we were working hard.”’ The character is running towards a crowd of people, with an embarrassed look on their face. The crowd looks irritated and stand separately from the character. The tenth panel says: 'You want to point out that all their cars seemed to start fine, but you know none of them believe anything is wrong with your car in the first place.“ The character looks sad and exhales a sigh in defeat.End ID] -- source link
