dear-wormwoods:1257ft:The trains shutting down hurt Eddie’s heart because it took away the one thing that allowed him to fantasize about leaving Derry/Sonia and being free. They symbolized his freedom. So the Lobster Train being the last one he ever saw running because the company went broke, was basically the universe saying “HAHA tough luck kid, no freedom for you, you’re stuck here listening to your mother snore and fart for the rest of your life.” — @eddiefuckingkaspbrak“After that Eddie would sometimes walk along track 4… until he got tired, and the weeds growing up between the crossties made him feel sad. Once he had looked up and seen seagulls… wheeling and crying overhead, and the sound of their voices had made him cry a little, too.” ~ IT, pg 307One of my absolute favorite underrated Eddie moments, and one that I think speaks more to his character than almost any other line. Thank you SO much for this amazing artwork, Eddie is adorable and sad and perfect!! It’s beautiful! -- source link
