Khalid lives in a small Ethiopian village with his wife and three children.But life hasn’t always been easy. Khalid was shunned by his Muslim family and community when he chose to follow Jesus. “They told me that I defiled the culture. In fact, they said I betrayed them and their [Islamic] faith. They forced me to leave the house. They refused to give me food or shelter. They even threatened to kill me.”Khalid struggled to survive without support and barely any possessions of his own. Then he discovered an Open Doors economic empowerment program. He discovered a gift for entrepreneurship and started his own business.Now he can support his family and even employs other persecuted Christians in his village. -- source link
