jegssantos:DIY BAG HARDWARE BRACELETI’ve always enjoyed looking at beautiful bags. It’s so interesting how men and women toggle around these bags worth thousands and thousands of dollars in the streets, the office, school, etc. with style. I’ve always been inspired by exquisitely designed bags, and there’s one thing I’ve noticed with these bags, designers always try to put their own twist on their bag’s sling strap hardware. Which makes designer bags one of a kind and unique. And that’s where I found inspiration for this bracelet!MATERIALS:Leather | Gold Closure | Scissor | Cutter | Needle & Thread | Ruler | Puncher | Fabric/Leather GlueSTEPS:1. Measure the length of the leather strip on your wrist with the closure. Mine was 8 inches by 0.5 inches. Make sure to have at least 2 inches of excess leather because we need to fold both ends for the closure. With a cutter, cut the measured strip. If your leather is thin cut another strip of the same measurement and glue the strips together.2. Fold both ends of the strip. After folding, you’ll see fold lines on the strip. Punch 2 semicircles on both sides of the fold line. 3. Sew the strip to the closure. Sewing it will make sure it does not detach.4. Sew the other folded end. This will be the hole where the closure will go through. That’s it! You’re finished! You just made a bracelet out of a bag’s sling closure. How awesome is that! So don’t throw away old bags. Make use out of them by deconstructing it and make something new from it. Have fun with this project, add your own personal touch and let your creativity out. This has been Jegs, til’ our next project! Ciao! -- source link
