gainstrive:She had journeyed for many hundreds of miles, bloodying her paws on rough unforgiving terrain. It had taken her years to get this far, hunting for him. He had vanished so many moons ago, she was too young to remember where he had gone, if he had said where he was going at all. All she knew was that she had to find him, before it was too late. He was sick, very sick. So was she, and her mother…Her mother was gone. Her siblings, they had all perished with the rest of the clan. Whatever sickness had taken them, had resided in her bosom as well. But she had fought against it. When he had left, mistaking her for dead, she hid. She hid from the dead who roamed her former clan, sightless eyes finding any movement and attacking. She didn’t know what had become of them, but they weren’t her clanmates any more. Even her mother had lunged at her, whatever creature now inhabiting her rotting body only sensing her as an enemy, or food. She fled that cursed place, traveling in roughly the direction that he had gone until her legs gave out under her and she collapsed. She rallied only with the help of a passing clan of Serthis who had taken pity on her and nursed her back to health. They weren’t native to the area, and whatever illness that had befallen her clan was something they had medicine to combat. They called it the Walking Shade, a sickness contracted from mysterious origins. They told her that when the Shade seeped out of the earth, whatever was in its path perished in a grisly, unspeakable way. The Serthis clan who had saved her was small, and could not fight against the undead. but they could try to rescue the ones that had not yet succumbed, herself included. Parting ways with the Serthis once their journey no longer followed the same path, she once again set off in her endless search. For him. She had heard rumors, she had spoken to many who had seen a guardian pass by, dressed in tatters and only armed with a worn medicine bag and a haggard cloak. His face was always hidden, so no-one could ever confirm whether it was him. But she knew. “Father, I’ve found you.”______________________________________________________________OK SO i was picking up free dragons from a user who was quitting the site, and i saw this lone ungened tundra in the back of their lair. i looked at their lineage, and lo and behold, she was the child of @pumpkin-bread Hope, one of the last surviving. so i quickly snatched her up, gened her blisteringly fast, and set up a bit of lore for her. and now she heads off to @pumpkin-bread‘s clan, to rejoin her father after searching for him for so long. i hope you enjoy the gift, Kaial!OH MY GOD GAIN WOWI’mI’m speechless!
