A Krupp 420mm cannon on a flat wagon (1916).This siege howitzer, also known as the Big Bertha, was one of thelargest artillery pieces ever used in wartime. It was designed in1911, and production began the next year, with test firing beginningin 1914. When WW1 began, there were two available howitzers, both ofthem prototypes. They were transported to Liège, and were used todestroy Fort de Pontisse and Fort de Loncin. -- source link
