womenandverbs:fuckyeahvintage:Feminist strike in London, 1911As someone else pointed out, these aren’t 1911 dresses; they’re mid-Victorian dresses. On the presumption that the women’s signs identify them by their own names, this has to be at some point before Mrs. [Jane Welsh] Carlyle’s death in 1866. (More on her and her famously quotable husband here.)
