Upon adoption, Pickles underwent a name change to “Ira”. He was quite the shy, frightened puppy at first. It took several minutes just to get him into the elevator when we got home. He was scared of tile floors, pillows, even doggy toys. He didn’t bark or cry, he was just quiet and scared. It took about a month and a couple trips to the dog park for him to fully come out of his shell and realize he had found his fur-ever home. Now he’s a bouncy, happy, peppy little guy! He loves his Kong and special stuffed giraffe, rides in the jeep and snuggling. He has a wonderful temperament with children and other dogs, and LOVES to run off-leash at the dog park. He even dressed up for his first Halloween this year! Thanks to the Humane Society for introducing me to my new best friend. I’m so grateful we found each other! I know our lives are better because we have each other. - Jacqueline -- source link
