Inktober Day 7. Today’s prompt was “lost.” I could have gone a lot of different ways with it–but I wanted to go this way. When you can’t eat, you lose weight fast, and sometimes you don’t even realize it’s happening. When cooler weather rolled in, I put on some of the clothes I’ve worn for years and discovered that they no longer fit. Over the course of a single summer I dropped from a size 10 to a size 6, because I physically cannot consume enough calories to keep the weight on. And I’m not the only one with this problem–my best friend is literally half the size she used to be, and so many other people have a hard time eating for a lot of different reasons. There are so many shrinking people, and yet a year ago I had no idea what a J-tube even was. So let’s make some noise, ladies and gentlemen–for dysautonomia, gastroparesis, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, and all the shrinking people. Let’s not let them fade away. -- source link
