Films Watched in 2021- (15/???)Minari (2021) - Lee Isaac Chung (4/5)It meanders just a tad and could probably be trimmed a bit, but everything else here is terrific. Parts are highly reminiscent of the Pitt/Chastain portions of Tree of Life, ironically, but it’s an incredibly straightforward movie with a good amount of comedic moments that, in less competent hands, could have been a horrible tonal mess. More leading man roles for Yeun, especially if he doesn’t have to put on a fake accent again (though I can acknowledge it’s semi-autobiographical, so there’s that). -- source link
