This has got to be my favourite Supergirl photo from @ozcomiccon. As you know she is such a special character to me but less than a handful of photographers are able to capture her beaming out of my heart. Ian set me up for this shot and seeing it for the first time left me emotional and virtually speechless. I can almost see a hologram of my inner child. That little girl who dreamed what seemed like an impossible dream to many, of becoming her favourite hero. A mortal version - but her hero nonetheless! It also captures my Mum’s and Marie’s skill in creating a very challenging but authentic-looking suit. The cosplay community is so fortunate to have you Ian and the amazing work you produce. Overall, without the great photographers/videographers our hobby, passion and dreams would not be fully realised. They are the heroes social media doesn’t see and it is a privilege (not a right) to have them.. Judging by this shot, my life is truly enriched by the cosplay experience. From the craft and the photographers to the followers, the kids, the charity work and the friends I’ve made. Supergirl has given me the opportunity to experience moments I never thought would be possible, and the journey is about to get bigger.
