Over the course of her career, Raewyn has examined and sought to disrupt the colonial features of social science by engaging with “social theories from the global periphery and explor[ing] paths towards knowledge democracy on a world scale.” A transsexual woman herself, Raewyn has also written about transsexual women’s relationship with feminism on her blog and in academic texts, an overview of which can be found in a link below. Although retired, she continues to contribute to social science in Australia and internationally through her ongoing intellectual and political work.
