Page 4.—-Inmates Have Abundance of Good Things for Christmas Day—-The prisoners at the Kingston Penitentiary will be well care for on Christmas Day, a menu fit for a King having been provided.For breakfast the bill-of-fare will consist of oranges, preserved ginger, corn flakes, and cream, French grilled ….fried eggs, and bacon, hot fresh broth, fruit bread, butter and coffee.The menu for dinner includes cream of tomato soup, soda biscuits, roast loin of pork, cranberry jelly, dressing, cream onions, bread salad, cream corn, potato au gratin, ye old English plum pudding, old style sauce, currans, bread and butter, tea, pineapple fruit, ice cream, oranges, apples, bananas, mixed nuts and dates, milk chocolate, jelly cream hard candy.The bill-of-fare for supper will consist of fruit salad, with fruit maderia, English Christmas cake, mince meat pie, puffed paste fruit boats, apple blossoms, dream biscuits, vanilla ice cream, pimento cheese, raisin bread and butter, hot chocolate. -- source link
