After getting past Tom’s American accent (perfect little shit), I have to say his reasoning for Brit villains is not good. Most Americans like the British accent you get from actors/actresses (sorry I can’t think of the official word for it this morning). Really I think Brits are villains because the accent makes them seem suave and intelligent and attractive which is important if you want your audience to connect at all with the villain to add tension to the plot. -- source link
