ravenclawesome89:Why does no one else blog about this amazing program! <3 I only just started this series (years late, I know,) and I’m already kind of in love with Brenda Blethyn’s Vera Stanhope and all the things she is allowed to do. I mean, she is a woman who leads a showa middle-aged woman who leads a showa middle-aged woman who leads a show and is the boss of everybodyand is never shamed for being the boss of everybodyor shoutingor being emotionalor being sarcasticor eating iced bunsExcellent. Also there is A+ banter between her and her sergeant (who is notably young, male, dishy, and not threatened by Vera’s authority, in addition to being an apparently functional spouse/parent.
