To mark the occasion I celebrate the brave women of the Revolutionary War with my original painting, ¨Las Adelitas¨. The original Adelita was a woman who joined the War to fight under the command of Maduro with whom she later fell in love. Since then all woman of the Revolution became known as ´the Adelitas´ and in fact it is such a popular image in Mexico that it is often used to describe any woman who stands up for her rights. In my painting we see two Adelitas sharing a kiss before boarding a train to war. The painting is available as a print in my Etsy Store by following this link -- source link
