Presenting…WRITER SPOTLIGHT: @blarfkeyRole: WriterWhat do you like or find compelling about Solas’ character?I enjoy his moral ambiguity and the fact that his actions goes against his own moral code because he so desperate to fix his mistake that the means justify the ends. Yet he wants to lose because deep down he doesn’t believe that the ends justify the means. He is not easily categorized as a good or bad person and that compels me. What do you think is going to happen in DA4?I honestly have no idea and I keep that way. If I have expectations about media, especially way in advanced, I tend to be disappointed that it didn’t live up to the hype and ideas I had built up in my head. So I am staying blissfully blank. What do you love about being a writer/artist/comic artist?The control. When I write a story it will go exactly the way that I want it to, the way that I think is most interesting, and I don’t have to deal with a premise that had a lot of potential but didn’t live up to the expectations I had of it. I know that I at least can live up to my own expectations. Link us/share with us one piece you want to show off (link to finished art/fic) and tell us why it’s special to youThis is a Solas & Cassandra Post Tresspasser friendship piece. He saves her from an assassin. I really love it because I’ve always been so fascinated with their bond in the game. These are two people who should have hated each other, they are total opposites, and yet their banter is full of respect and admiration and love. I knew if Cassandra was ever in trouble after he left the Inquisition, even if they were enemies, he would help her. And so I wrote that exact scenario. It’s angsty and emotional – They are now on opposite sides of a war and yet the bond remains. Link to Fanfic -- source link
