Finally: the highlight of my weekend! The first Robin Hobb panel I went to, when she introduced herself as an author, she pointed to me (sitting and jingling conspicuously on the aisle) as she said “the fitz and fool books”. At the end of the panel, her editor grabbed me for some pictures - and then RH herself got some photos with me outside the panels. There were four or five people taking pictures in the reasonably crowded corridor, so it was a bit overwhelming! Apparently the picture was on Megan Lindholm’s fb (I don’t have fb so I don’t know if I can check/see it), and it's definitely on the Robin Hobb twitter. (my costume’s a little wonky, which is annoying, but it’s better in some of my other pictures). When I figure out how to post lots and lots of pictures (specifically under a cut so that people don’t have to scroll past lots of photos of me if they don’t want to) I will do so - I took lots of pictures with other cosplayers and by a certain whovian object I found in the fan village. There is also my favourite picture (after the above!), which has… something of an iron hint to it (can you guess?). -- source link
