answers:Hi, this is sylvester. At the beginning of this year he got really sick and after taking him to the vet he was diagnosed with kidney failure. He was on the brink of death but managed to pull through and his kidney level are now stable. About 2 weeks ago he started showing signs of illness again. At first it started with a fever and him sleeping all day and eventually he started to eat less and less. We took him to the vet and he was given antibiotics because his symptoms pointed to an infection. I did not have enough money at the time so I was not able to do blood work so the vet couldn’t exactly see where the infection was or how it had started.A couple days ago I noticed him breathing a bit hard so i took him in for blood work and x rays and the x rays revealed fluids around the lungs and from the blood work his kidney levels were still stable and his blood cell count showed that his body was fighting an infection and anemia. The vets first thought it was FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) which is deadly and there is no cure but after extracting some of the fluids she told me it didn’t look like FIP (here is a picture). He still needs to do more test so that the vet can pinpoint what exactly he has and how they can treat him. I managed to get some money by selling stuff and taking out a loan but the bills keep piling up and it’s hard for me to keep up. I really hate asking for money so I got him insurance but that doesn’t kick in until next month and I’m also trying to find a job now that I am in college I have more time on my hands. If you guys could help me out by donating here or even just reblogging this post I would really appreciate it. Also if you have experience with this or have a cat that went through something like this please message me. I want to thank everyone in advance for donating and reblogging. I love him to death and I can’t bare the thought of being without him. -- source link
