queenoftheantz:Kyouhaba week day 5: Crossover…. I mean I WANT to make a comic with witches eventually so it can count as a crossover??? Yes??? I’ll reblog with more info on powers and familiars!!Ok! Sooooo…. My classic witch au! here we go!Kyoutani- Has copying powers. Or mirroring if you want, since it’s an “action-power”, he’s not a copyprinter. He must see whatever he is going to copy, concentrate hard, and make a sort of subtle spell casting motion: It’s not per definition a hand motion, or even something you can see, rather than tensing and relaxing his body in certain patterns to help the spell. After that, he can copy an action. But only for a short while, though if it is a purely physical motion, it can fasten the learning of it.For now, he can only copy body movements with some effort, but in the future, his power can allow him to copy other’s magic for a short period of time. Kyoutani is super frustrated because he’s struggling so with the arm wrestling against Iwazumi, a sport that should be perfect for his mirroring powers, yet he never manages to keep focus enough to keep his magic up. His power is actually about observing, with some magic helping the connection between eyes and muscles, and when he tries TOO hard, he focus too much on himself and too little on the observing part.His familiar is a bullterrier (no surprises there), a muscular dog with a very calm and gentle temper. While Kyotani can seem both threatening and outright hostile, his familiar seem to have a kind nature. She listens, observes and when she acts it is always with a certanity and force. And without any intention of changing her mind. Not the most adaptable type so to speak.Kyotani and his familiar are very very close. She was brought into the family just after Kyoutani was born, and even if he didn’t know about familiars and witches, they always shared a bond. Kyoutani is self thaught in what he can do, and has anatural feeling for his magic, and he loves it. He loves magic and is genuinely interested in learning about it, ALL kind of magic. But since he only found a place with other witches so late, he finds it hard to get into this world he has only seen in the distance, now being forced to really adapt and deal with it close up, and everything that comes with “officially” being a witch. He didn’t dig the skirt thing at all (he felt like he was constantly tangled up), and has so far solved the pantless requirements by using volleyball short-shorts, for minimum pant-effect but still skirtless.Yahaba- Has attention powers. Like someone tapping your shoulder, he can use magic to grab, or avoid attention. That’s it for now at least. Now he can use his magic like that, at best as an invisible shoulder tap, at worst with the help of a whistle, which he has covered in spells so that it can magically pick attention when blown, or if you breath in while holding it, keep attention away. Yahaba doesn’t have that natural feeling for his magic, and the whistle is an easier way for him to use it. If he works with it, his power will allow him to practically go invisible, or force short periods of obsessions on people. A dangerous skill.Yahaba understood he was a witch pretty early on, but his powers weren’t very spectacular, so he practiced when he felt like it, but decided in high school that maybe he should try to grasp his powers better, so he  eventually joined the seijou group of witches. Under Oikawa’s (intense) mentorship, he became more motivated to learn about his powers and witch things. While his powers aren’t that strong yet, he is very protective of the whole witch culture (he has experienced so many good parts of it) and will fight for it!!!His familiar is a nymph parakeet, a very silly bird. As most familiars, it can’t actually talk with people, except for their own witch, but as a parrot his familiar is quite talkactive. Sometimes just to annoy him. He clings to Yahaba, more often than not dragging his cap down over his eyes. But it is a bird with a surprisingly short temper, and quite viscious when mad. He and Yahaba are good friends, though they met later than Kyoutani and his familiar, and compared to the other two, they have had quite some fights. However, after they meet Kyoutani, they start taking their relationship more seriously, and get significantly closer. -- source link
