#Repost @in_courage_counselling (@get_repost)・・・Have courage. Show up. Be seen. Ask. Talk. Share. Love ❤️ It’s felt really important to share something today, not just because it is a subject close to my heart, but also to honour the enormous amount of courage it takes to allow yourself to be vulnerable; to show up and own your struggles and ask for help. The shame surrounding mental health is universal and there is only one antidote…connection and compassion. It takes great courage on both sides when someone asks ‘Are you ok?’ and the other replies 'No, not really.’ Fears of saying the wrong thing, making it worse or facing rejection are often mutual. But it is only when we find the courage to share our experiences and the compassion to hear others tell their stories, do we force shame out of hiding and end the silence. So I’m amongst the frightening statistics and heavy truth of the global crisis we are facing, I hope that this quote (it’s one of my Brene Brown favourites) and spread courage and vulnerability - both are honorable! #worldmentalhealthday #havecourage #showup #beseen #talk #connection #love #spirit #psychotherapy #therapy #counselling #gratitude #thankful #compassion -- source link
