Here’s where we first see Marie Antoinette as a little girl. On the sliding scale of historical accuracy to 70s shoujo aesthetic, I think this outfit is pretty far on the shoujo side.That narration is deeply sarcastic btw, as we immediately get to see exactly how bratty she is, as she tricks each of her tutors into rescheduling their sessions so she is free to run off and play outside, displaying incredible cunning for a 7-year-old.Here’s one of the tutors, shown in a close-fitting gown conspicuously lacking the elaborate “sack back” or Watteau pleats that went in and out of fashion throughout the century, which we will see later on in the manga. Going by Marie Antoinette’s birthdate, this scene must take place sometime around 1762. -- source link
