⚡️What we have been told about Valentine’s Day does not hold up… there are plenty ways of looking at love , there is abundance of friendships that are to be celebrated and held tenderly. The pandemic led to disappearing of physical moments with our beloved chosen fam. No more meeting up to go dance Cumbia and reapplying lipstick in the bathroom as other fabulous femmes joined in , no more meeting up at the coffee shop and sharing a croissant , no more meeting up at each other’s home to catch up, no more meeting up at First Saturdays…. what it brought was long distance snail mail, a book recommendation, face time, zoom meet up’s with wifi tragedies, selfies in bed, dog photo exchange, mutual aid donations, a food order, a long phone call…. sometime there was quietness and space … but always love, always a gratefulness to have each other in our lives. Here is me, in sun waiting for tomorrow. Excited to share virtual space with artist friends that make us feel a bit more held during this time. I hope you join.
