So it begins! I have finally pieced enough of the stuff together to get started on a very ambitious costume for Magfest 2020. The Legendary from Pokemon Sword is called Zacian, best I can gather. There is scant information in terms of really good references beyond a few pictures, and the teaser trailer. None-the-less I want to cosplay as this! I will be Sword Doggo Knight! Because, it just sounds awesome.Current plans are to use eva foam and construct a mask following masquerade style if that even makes sense? This will not be a full head covering mask like the Furry Fandom does it’s heads. This will be a more lightweight option, and it just goes better for the style. We have the paints to paint it up. We (I have really good friends that are going to help me a bit on this) also will make the sword, and the 4 wings (two bigger ones, two smaller ones) will probably be scaled to be realistic and be attached via braces on the upper arms, as well as the thighs.I have a tunic that I will wear with this, and then there will be a pair of feet-paws with legs that extend all the way up. There will be hand paws, with arm/sleeves. The strange tassels will be attached to collar/neck thing. Those coral colored tassels were a big issue for me at the start. If I couldn’t find a color faux fur to match it, then I wasn’t going to attempt this. After months of looking I chanced upon something on amazon, and snapped up two big squares. It’s just enough for the tail, and the tassel looking things. The tail will be scaled appropriately.So just wanted to share the start of something that should be fun, and creative! -- source link
