A more detailed post will go up on August 1st, but the theme this year will be Alternate Universe/Universe Alterations!Sunday - Travel AUs (Meet cute at an airport? Road trip? There was only one bed at the hotel? This is the day for those!)Monday - Historical AUs (Victorian era? World War II? 31st Century? This is the day for fics not taking place now!)Tuesday - Occupational AUs (Coffee shop? Flower shop/tattoo parlor? Novelists & editor? If it involves them not in their regular jobs, this is the day for you!)Wednesday - Educational AUs (Kidfic? Primary school students? College professors? If it involves anything remotely involving school, here you go!)Thursday - Mirror AUs (Swaplock? Personality swaps? Criminal Molly? Anything that reverses what we have as canon, it goes today!)Friday - Universe Alterations (Anything that builds off canon but tweaks it, this is where you would put it!)Saturday - Free For All (anything you want to post that doesn’t fit one of the other days or you forgot to post, this is the day to do it!)It all starts August 30th! Keep an eye out at @mollyappreciationweek for more info!Does Victorian count as an AU or does that equal canon.I’m gonna try to do a gen ficlect/drabble for each of these focusing on the Women of Sherlock/Molly’s relationship with these women. Good question! This was something I was going to spell out more on the post on the 1st, but I can answer it now.It’s up to how the author is portraying the Victorian era. If it’s independent of “The Abominable Bride,” then definitely post it on Monday. If it’s alterations of TAB canon, then post it on Friday. If you aren’t really sure how you’d classify it? That’s what Saturday is for, the stuff you aren’t sure fits elsewhere. For example, if you turn TAB into a Soulmate AU? That I’d let you post either on Monday or Friday or encourage you to post it on Saturday.And I look forward to that!
