The thing seemed more panicked that it wasn’t in a familiar place than anything else. I took these shots quickly then placed him back in his beaker home.(Hirudo medicinalis)Poor little leech! They’re not scary at all.I agree; I admit to feeling both of those sentiments myself!H. medicinalis is one of the most awesome little creatures ever. Sure, they aren’t fluffy and big-eyed and adorable, but they’re really, really useful and they do a lot of good in modern medicine. I am very fond of the leech. -- source link
