lil-doodles:More holiday sketching. Ralphie from A Christmas Story. I’m a huge fan of Jean Shepherd (the writer and narrator of A Christmas Story). He’s a Hoosier like me and he was a radio legend in New York. I’m pretty sure Stan Lee stole the “excelsior” exclamation from Jean. His books are great fun and you can subscribe to the Jean Shepherd podcast that replays his radio show which are a hoot. It seems like his shows were not planned in any way; like Jean just walked in and started telling great stories. Worth a listen for sure. -- source link
