torque-witch:Release My Pain to the WindSpoonie-Friendly Energy WorkMost of us have experienced the feeling of the wind between your fingers while riding along in the car - it’s relaxing and day-dream inducing. For this particular exercise, I want to talk about pain. This will be more focused on Spoonies who have chronic physical pain, rather than mental health issues, but feel free to use it in the same way if you are experiences painful thoughts.If you cannot drive or hardly ride in a vehicle, feel free to do this while sitting outside or by an open window.Turn on a song that makes you feel happy and calm. Think about how relaxing it can be to feel a warm breeze flow around your fingertips and hand. Focus for a moment on the calm energies you get from the song you have chosen. Breathe in and out three times slowly, taking in the calm feelings. Often times I will feel a vibrating sensation in my head or body when I connect with the music in this way. (It may be different for you.) When you are ready, shift your focus to your pain center.Visualize either grabbing, or letting the pain travel to your arm and down to your fingertips, and let the negative energy spill out from your fingertips and dissolve into the breeze. For me, I visualize the pain like smoke or steam pouring off of my fingertips, so that it can evaporate into the air and be recycled or neutralized. This is a similar exercise to grounding, but specified for pain.
