forgetfrozen:cybugs:whatismattbellamy:So I saw many people saying that Tangled and Frozen have mothers and daughters that look exactly the same and how those people “used to love Disney before they got lazy” but I just wanted to make a tiny reminder that Elsa, Anna and Rapunzel are not the only ones who look a lot like their moms, okay? Seriously.ok but the most important thing to do to test disney’s laziness is to actually match up the design. granted the Aurora one is almost the same as her mother, and so is Ariel but her mother was briefly featured in a straight to DVD sequel, and Melody is from a cheap Disney sequel, both of which arent $150 million dollar productions like Frozen. anyway so here’s the rest of the deal, a lot of your comparisons fall flat immediately when placed next with Frozen you’ve probably seen this one before, its their faces perfectly syncing up with each other meaning they have the same facial structure + silhouette and that’s no good imo. this has been said a million times but this is literally the SAME model that was tweaked and there is no symbolism behind that, its simply laziness at its core. now to dive into the examples you gavenote: some of these were really hard to put together cuz of a pretty whacky idea called “different models”^ literally different jawline that anyone can notice but w/ similar features like eyes and lips, but different sized too this one was almost impossible to match up cuz they have completely different facial structures (the mother’s being wider than Mulan’s), so i was p surprised you chose this one to go. next to Frozen. look at that tho… darn it speaks for itselfok this is gonna be the last one cuz im getting tired and im not as excited as i was one when i found this postdifferent eye size and shape, different mouth size, and when you look at the photos separately her mother has a wider face, also these photos match up better but they’re definitely not as similar as Frozen’s situationin conclusion, your examples just don’t work next to each other and as excited as i got to put my thoughts on this post, a lot of me wondered how i should’ve approached it cuz i keep looking at the Mulan comparison to the Frozen one and i’ve just been wondering how you thought they were on the same level. i’ll give you creds for Wendy and her mum, and as i said before Aurora and her’s but those movies were ages ago and the ones i brought up above are the most recent in your post w/ the exception of those cheap sequels you brought up which arent fair for comparison. Frozen used the same models and you should not excuse it by calling them similarities cuz for the millionth time its pure laziness and cheapness, I’d like to point out that Sleeping Beauty and Peter were both made in the fifties, less than twenty years after the first animated feature films. Character design was still in the works. When Frozen was made, it was about 77 years after the first animated feature film, and they’ve proven they can make mothers and daughters and other females look different from one another. So, Disney no longer has an excuse.i’m also seriously confused why op thinks mulan and her mom look alike. like geez louise do you not have eyeballs or something -- source link
