jennifergettingthere:resistdrumpf:[Source]NO STOP The reason that I find this tall/short answer really yucky is that a) it’s popular and b) it doesn’t try to address or push back against false equivalencies, which come up *constantly* when we try to have conversations about racial justice. To be clear, one person being called a cracker by a cruel child won’t make up for the systemic inequalities that communities of color face. Having a conversation about white privilege using a vehicle that can be warped into a discussion about feelings and perceived (dis)advantages of individuals is dangerous! Don’t let this spread without critical commentary about systemic violence! -- source link
