“Yesterday I cried when I got the news: All charges brought by arms manufacturing scum Elbit dropped, against all 19 people. I cried in relief, in joy, and in pain. Because in the bleak aftermath of the vote, and the bombings of Syria beginning, it feels so small, what was done - stopping production at a little arms factory near Birmingham. Because even after all the work and fear and the mental and physical health impacts of that action… It is of course, not enough. But if an Israeli arms factory can be shut down twice in two years, and both times the charges are dropped… then it is possible for others to go the same way. And when is that knowledge needed more than now? Take to the rooftops, take to the streets, shut them all down! Elbit have been cost half a million pounds by a relatively small network of people. Lets keep costing them, and all arms companies, until the last one is gone. They profit from death and destruction of lives, especially of the black and brown bodies that are most disposable to our politicians. Those companies have no right to exist on this earth. Shut them all down!” (from one of our members) -- source link
