He’d lost control for half a second but it was enough. You’d fallen hard onto the wooden table in your living room, twisting your wrist enough for the bones to snap. When Sam had come to his senses and realized what had happened, he was sure he’d never forgive himself for this. The recovery process was tedious and annoying but Sam stuck by you nearly every second. While you loved his attempts to help you do the simplest of things, you knew he felt guilty and you needed him to know you didn’t blame him. Sometimes, things just happened. What was important was that you were alive, you were getting better. You sat him down and explained it, you could sense that a part of him still held guilt but he seemed to understand that you didn’t need his pity but rather just his love. You were sure he’d act the same way over a paper cut but you were starting to understand that the imprint bond had something to do with his need to take care of you. And though you couldn’t technically imprint yourself, you knew if anything were to happen to him, you’d be right there by his side the whole time. -- source link
