We love having a chance to show off our great work to our closest friends, especially over the holidays.Last night, Members of the Brooklyn Museum were treated to private, after-hours tours of our two latest shows: Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty and Iggy Pop Life Class by Jeremy Deller. Curators Catherine Morris and Sharon Matt Atkins led us through the galleries, and Marilyn Minter herself joined us for drinks! If you haven’t visited the 5th floor of the Museum yet, be sure to do so soon. Both Minter and Deller’s shows are truly amazing and have received rave reviews in the press! Did you catch this great piece in The New York Times on Minter’s retrospective just after the election? The Guardian shed a bit of light on Jeremy Deller’s work as well.Members of the Brooklyn Museum underwrite all of the Museum’s efforts through their annual support. As we near the end of 2016, we’re particularly grateful for such a generous group of Members and friends. And we were thrilled so many guests came to see our transformative shows!Happy Holidays!Posted by Kristel Kempin -- source link
