14 Back in the studioAfter almost a month in hiatus (I know! A month of no ballet! Such horrors!).Mondays were scheduled for basic pointe class (for those already on pointes), but our three classmates on pointes were out, so Audrey & I had two hours of class all to ourselves.I’M FINALLY LEARNING TO TURN.LIKE OMG.I mean, I still have so much to work on. But those (very)few instances that I actually got to turn, spot, AND land nicely (albeit a bit): YAY YAY YAY.On another note, I’m still quite frustrated with myself in regards to dancing. The thing with ballet is there’s so much to think of: the ballet world is almost like black & white: using the right muscles, your stance, your head, your arms, the steps, the music.. All that + the fact that you need to be dancing, to move with emotion = AYAYAY.27-10-15: I noticed earlier today (when there was down time while I was running errands) that when I think of the music, put counting, imagine the steps, I could get it right. I’ll have to try that for real on our next class. In any case, it was so so so good to be back on the studio, back at the barre. -- source link
