Look at this patchwork little dino-chikkin starting to fledge. Poor little flappy adolescent! Some of them are looking pretty mangy right now. This is one of the buffs. The bigger nuggets are moving out to the coop in stages, so our bathroom now contains only 16 patchy fluffballs and soon (soon) they will all be out and I can evict all the pine shavings from our house (they are e v e r y where) and help SO disinfect the bathroom. The toilet needs cleaning, the sink is clogged with chicken droppings from cleaning their waterers, and the dog needs a bath like last week, but the tub is still full of chikkin. Dear Illinois, please reach a balmy stable temperature. Dear chikkins, please grow your feathers and work on the ability to regulate your own temperature. -- source link
