positivelyfreezing:this is the last picture i ever took of her. Aug 4, 12:41 am. At this point I was trying to remain optimistic, for her sake, and she was doing her very best for mine. Within hours she’d deteriorate so quickly that by 7:15 am i was having a panic attack, calling vet after vet to find the best place. By 9 am I called my mother and she gave permission to head to the emergency room. i had chosen the one at the hospital she was meant to have her surgery at. we arrived by 9:30, and by 9:45 the decision was made to put her down. she died at around 10:30 am, in my arms where she remained for another near 30 minutes. my brother and i left for home at around 11. the drive was long. i only stopped crying to stare dead ahead knowing she wasn’t going to be meowing at me within seconds of us entering the apartment.alley is the strongest creature, cat or person, that i have ever known. she lived on sheer willpower from the day she was born, being abandoned by her mother due to her twisted back legs so my father had to step in and help. i chose her out of her 2 other siblings to be mine, and never looked back. she has always been a source of strength and inspiration for me and my family, as an incredibly stubborn, hot headed little thing who took no shit and yet loved to her fullest. she was born strong and died strong, and i’ll always be grateful for the time spent with her. she is still my rock, my world, my shining star, and not even cancer can take away how alive she is in my heart.RIP Alley -- source link
