Women’s Appreciation WeekDay 3-Favourite WOCNone of these women are stereotypes. They are individuals and are treated as such, which is so important to see. Of course, we’d all like to see more of them, but what we’ve seen so far has been amazing!Melinda May from Agents of SHIELD is my favourite character, and she’s a constant inspiration. In a white man’s world, Melinda May is the biggest badass around town, so terrifying that her enemies tremble before her. She’s one of the few people to take on those with super powers and win. A defining moment that gave her the reputation and name of ‘The Cavalry’ left her with ptsd, and yet she continues to fight for others. And we’re getting to know about her past this season!Mulan was always my favourite Disney princess, and on OUAT she became one of my favourite recurring characters. I absolutely adore her relationship with both Aurora and Prince Phillip and am looking forward to the day that she comes back for another episode, because we honestly deserve to see much more of her. I’ve loved watching her develop some strong friendships with other female characters, especially when she stood up for Belle and proved the military strength of women. Laurel Castillo started out as quite an understated character on How To Get Away With Murder, and really proved Annalise right when she said to watch out for the quiet ones. She’s kind and thoughtful, and may be quiet, but she’s shown us how ruthless and cunning she can really be. Laurel’s quite the Slytherin! I can’t wait to see just how far she’s willing to go next season. Samar Navabi is new to The Blacklist, and yet almost immediately I knew I would love her. At first I was worried that she would simply be the replacement for Meera, and I’m still worried because she isn’t getting a lot of screentime. Samar is a fantastic Mossad agent, and she’s a worthy addition to the team, and I’m hoping that in the near future we’ll be seeing a lot more of her. -- source link
