The statue of former slave & abolitionist Frederick Douglass in Maplewood Park, was torn off its base, and dumped 50 feet away in Rochester park, over a fence to Genesee River gorge.The statue is one of 13 Douglass statues that were placed around Rochester in 2018 to celebrate his 200th birthday. -- source link
