Phantasmal poison frog (Epipedobates tricolor) have extremely toxic skin. They secrete epibatidine, a toxic alkaloid. The toxin binds to pain receptors, cause numbness and eventual paralysis resulting in death. Potentially, this toxin could be 200 times more potent than morphine. They derive their poison from their diet of insects. Various chemicals from the insects collect in glands in the frogs’ skin. -- source link
