In one, the paper branded a council leader “barmy” for campaigning for black and gay people to be protected from murder. “Does Mr Murdoch’s excuse-for-a-newspaper applaud mindless thuggery then?” Sanderson asked. “It seems so.””The Sun has gone on for years spouting misinformation, hatred and lies. The sickening Hillsborough disaster frontpage, the vile “Gotcha” headline from the Falklands War, the endless attacks on LGBT, black people, workers (strikers), etc throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s (and often far beyond). Endless attacks on migrants, Muslims, Trans people, “Gypsies”, socialists and anyone else they don’t like right up to the present (there’s even an entry by Piers Morgan…)The Sun is nothing but trees and resources wasted to spout hate speech, division, and keep the UK in the hands of the richest.
