#Repost @thegeminiproj (@get_repost)・・・Don’t question survivors response to sexual assault. Each victim will react differently to their trauma and each reaction is valid. There is no ‘right’ way to respond to sexual violence and it is so common during the beginning of the 7 stages of grief to stay silent or be in denial about what happened. It takes a lot to speak up and will often take a lot of time and courage to do so and many survivors may never speak out about their experience as reliving it can be too traumatic. The #metoo movement has given survivors the courage to speak out, many who have been silent for so long. Do not send survivors back in to silence by not believing them or resorting to victim blaming.
