ancienttextmoderntablet:This is my rendition alongside one of the ancient originals (now in Philadelphia) of one of the world’s oldest recorded assertions of female authorship, “the one who compiled the tablet is Enheduana” (lu dub zukeshda Enheduana). Enheduana was the daughter of the famous Mesopotamian conqueror Sargon of Agade and the high priestess (en) of the mood god Nanna-Suen at the city of Ur, a position that was claimed by a number of royal daughters. Two lengthy poems dedicated to the goddess Inana and a fragmentary hymn to Nanna may have been written by her as well.#famouswomen #cuneiformhttps://www.instagram.com/p/Bn1ZLyrgO4U/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=11ikx4k4oi25p -- source link
