Reports that a subject had a reactivation of the birth of her child after stimulation of her left temporal lobe, but was dismissed because women are unpredictable. “I wonder why you keep talking about reliving memories why I’m elbow deep in your brain? Probs just because women are erratic and can’t focus on what’s important. That sounds right.” This is such a good example of why diversity in science is so important. Imagine how much more we’d know by now if people hadn’t dismissed things (or outright fabricatied things: see all of eugenics ever) because they can’t fathom that anybody could have different experiences than them. -- source link
