chenria:This is a picture that spooked through my mind for many, many months… but I never managed to draw it and even now I’m still not fully satisfied with it. In my headcanon there had been wedding negotiations with Bann Teagan and her… there were not that many suitable bachelors in Ferelden and Teyrn Cousland wanted a decent man for his daughter. And because he wanted her to be happily married and he held Bann Teagan in high esteem, they negotiated. But even before they were able to even meet in person and see if this marriage might work and if they got along the Blight broke lose. Meriana never thought about Teagan after her family was killed and found refuge in Alistair’s arms. But when she met Teagan in Redcliffe she couldn’t deny the attraction. He would have been the perfect husband. Caring, headstrong and gentle - and handsome. Teagan felt the same, but both knew that it would never be, that their chances were gone… Meriana had Alistair now and Teagan had to care for his people. They only shared one desperate kiss, which neither of the two would ever admit happened. They know their places and both know that they would have been happy if times were different…With this picture I tried to show her conflict.
