Postcard: The Midland Hotel, Chicago, 1970s.Many years ago I made occasional trips to Chicago, and for reasons I no longer remember this was where I usually stayed (it probably was fairly cheap). Not sure whether it still exists. When I looked for it on the internet I got countless hotel booking sites, one of the annoyances of Google, Bing, etc. as they put such sites at the top of search lists whenever the word “hotel” is included. Did not wish to waste the time dredging through those sites as I have no plans for a trip to Chicago any time soon. Like many older hotels, what was once the Midland may now operate under a completely different name. -- source link
