art-of-swords:Rare Twin RapiersDated: 16th centuryCulture: GermanMeasurements: 126 cmStraight blade of hexagonal section with a short, central groove, the hilts of the two rapiers, once joined, create the shape of a single hilt. The swords has a lower-side ring and straight quillons, big fig-shaped pommel and an iron wire bound grip and engraved, plus brass ring-nuts. They were meant to look like a single sword. Probably having the same element of surprise like a rapier’s parrying dagger that sometimes was hidden inside the handle.Source: Silver WolfThese are kind of awesome.‘You thought I only had one sword?
