bennie-lover78:londoncallingsigh:‘I do keep having to say to the director, “Did my body look too good in that scene?”’ he tells me, tongue in cheek… ‘I’m training for the next installment of Marvel, whereas Stephen is a man who’s in the deep throes of grieving and this horrendous, keening, mourning inertia…He’s been drinking, he’s been eating whatever he can find in a plastic food container. It’s not like he’s been on a Marvel diet and pumping iron like I have.’ - Benedict Cumberbatch (article)You go ahead and look as Marvel as you want, Ben! I don’t think we’ll mind one tiny bit! Can we just appreciate the fact that Benedict didn’t want his body to look good because he was thinking of Stephen Lewis’ state of mind and body which should be all weakened or at least flat tummy and no abs and he wants to stay true to the characterBut at the same time conflicted because Stephen Strange requires him to be very muscular and fit and there’s literally no possible way for his own body to change from skinny to muscular in that short amount of time between those two filming and the result of that is Benedict asking the director if his body “look too good” I’m glad this is the way the universe unfolded -- source link
