I took this photo in my church’s bathroom just before coming out to my PASTOR! (As male to female transgender) I didn’t feel nervous at all until I got out of that bathroom since his office is across the hallway. I had him on my Facebook and I asked if we could meet up sometime last week and got to today. He new at the very least that I had a preferred name and it gave me comfort when he addressed me as Jaimee, several times. The first words he asked were pertaining to that and how to pronounce it. It’s good to touch base with the important people in your life and while he is just my pastor, I felt the need to tell him to get it off my chest. I saw his viewpoints clearly as he did mine. We’ve both done research on the issue and I’m glad he understands me. I’m coming out to my Sunday school either this Sunday or next. You never really understand someone’s viewpoint until you actually ask them so never assume. I feel great now! Just wish my family would address me as Jaimee at the very least but calling me a girl would be even better. It gets better with time, at least it has since I came out almost a year ago. -- source link
