i know i have at least five followers who will be absolutely thrilled to see this last guy hereRoad Rage is pretty happy to be back on Cybertron. After a long stint living on Caminus as an assistant and bodyguard to the ambassador Crosscut, it’s nice to be on her home planet again, and oddly even nicer to be working in her original function of business law and corporate protocol. She makes a pretty good teacher after so many vorns of her infamous temper getting whittled down to gentle consideration through diplomacy. She still has anger issues sometimes, especially when she switches to alt, or goes between car and hovervehicle. Working with her old buddy Crosscut and friends from Caminus like Nautica helps a lot.The best part of this job for Blaster is the sheer number and new variety of guests he can bring on for his show on Radio Free Cybertron. People of all ages, frames, functions, and citizenship have so many experiences to share, and that’s exactly what his radio persona The Voice is meant for. Of course, his actual views are a little more… let’s say liberal than what he’s typically allowed to say on air. That doesn’t stop him from being one of the best in the business, so much so that he’s interviewed incredibly important people, including the Grand Architect himself! When his good friend Rewind contacted him to tell him about a new school his twin and Conjunx had been invited to teach at, Blaster did some investigating and landed himself a job as a social networking teacher, showing his students how to navigate a world of media. It means he has less time for his radio show, which his creator Karmen complains about, but he enjoys working with kids, even though his trine Bluster and Toaster tease him about it. He’s found great friends among the faculty too, and an unexpected connection with the former Tarnish junker Damus. Coaxing Damus to sing for his show was the most satisfying interview he’s run in a long time. Most people don’t register Punch as a Mutacon when they first meet him. He has the dubious luck of car-like kibble, and honed his skills at passing with a successful acting career. Before joining the Academy, he was a negotiator for function guilds, which is the subject Shockwave asked him to teach instead of acting. Better to have such a vital topic taught from one who faces stigma and even danger from this very work, to soften the framism of the government-approved curriculum. He takes to this job with gusto, and always has a witty response to the occasional stuck-up student who tries insulting him for his frametype.Thunderhoof is, for once in his life, running a perfectly clean, legal, above-the-table joint here. Honest! Sure, he might be the Academy’s head of resources, but with a vice principal like former Enforcer Prowl keeping an optic on him, there’s no way he could get sneaky. Besides, it’s a whole school of impressionable young minds already facing enough danger from random supernatural disasters, nobody needs to get the mob involved. Or at least, that’s what he and Smokescreen agree on out loud, careful and polite, before they both go about their business. And if Smokescreen just happens to miss a few miscalculated Academy finance reports, well that’s alright, the numbers turned out in the school’s favor anyway. And if Thunderhoof’s old buddies in the Kospego mob never set foot in their part of Iacon, well how lucky are they to never deal with that kind of trouble? Thunderhoof loves having a good working relationship with smart Enforcers. When he isn’t cutting deals and cooking books on the sly, he teaches a class on business. Which is perfectly clean, as a matter of fact, he follows the given curriculum to the letter, except for when that smug young jerk Steeljaw is goofing off in class. He and Lockdown have become friends, and the two of them take special interest in Swindle, Rumble and Frenzy, and Daytrader as potential future… business partners. -- source link
