Telluric Tarot- Amber and Briza media (quaking grass) Tarot equivalent to The Hanged Man- Relea
Telluric Tarot- Amber and Briza media (quaking grass) Tarot equivalent to The Hanged Man- Release, surrender, change of perspective, sacrificeI guess it was pretty darn inevitable. I had wanted deep down to get started on it right after the runes. A few things stalled me: The first was my fear of being a one-trick-pony, which tends to plague nearly anything I undertake (but then I tell myself ‘hey ponies are fucking cool, especially if they know a trick!’). The other was that I missed working on the runes and I thought it was mostly the runes themselves, so I sought similar veins to recreate that very ‘home-like’ sense they’d given me. It was great in other ways, but not the same feeling. When I finally broke down and began sketching for a potential Telluric Tarot, that elusive feeling rushed back in. I realized at last that it had been the stones, or rather looking at the runes- and the entire world- through them, that did it. I don’t know why but my brain can happily and naturally links pretty much anything to stones and rocks. It’s probably a special interest thing. It’s weird- or odd to state out loud anyway- but I decided to stop questioning it. I need something that feels like home at the moment and rocks seem to consistently bring me there.Starting with the equivalent of The Hanged Man doubles as a reading: Even though I am in the middle of other projects and tried to finish those first, I stopped. I allowed myself to change course; which is normally against how I like to proceed. I’m letting go and trusting another method. -- source link
